The Next Best Thing to the Real Thing

If you're like the hundreds of patients we've helped who are missing teeth, you know how annoying and frustrating it can be. Having a missing tooth can not only look unattractive but can potentially lead to other dental issues further down the line. That's why many patients have turned to us to help handle the transition to dental implants.

Why Get Dental Implants?

While there are a wide range of factors that can influence the decision to get one or more dental implants, most of our patients at here in Ottawa fall into one of three main categories:

One

To replace one or more teeth without negatively affecting other surrounding teeth.

Two

To support a bridge and eliminate the need for a removable partial denture.

Three

To provide support for a denture, making it more secure and comfortable.

Advantages of Dental Implants

Aesthetic

Dental implants look and feel like your own teeth. No one will ever know that you have a replacement tooth.

Protection

Unlike a traditional bridge, dental implants won’t sacrifice the quality of your adjacent teeth.

Confidence

Dental implants will allow you to once again speak and eat in total comfort and confidence.

Reliability

The success rate of dental implants is incredibly high, making it one of the best options for tooth replacement.

How the Procedure Works

We'll first check to make sure you're in good health, have an adequate volume of bone to support the implant, and have relatively healthy gums that are free of periodontal disease.

Step 1

Titanium implants are carefully inserted into your jaw so they can to fuse naturally with the bone.

Step 2

A small connector known as an abutment is attached to hold the implant in place while it heals.

Step 3

Sutures are added and the doctor will do a final inspection to make sure your new implant is complete.

Step 4

Two weeks later the doctor will remove your sutures and ensure you're healing without any issues.

Step 5

Once you've fully healed (usually 5-6 months later) your dentist will insert new teeth into your implants.
